Aloe ferox is renowned for its natural colon-cleansing properties. Native to South Africa, it has been used by locals for medicinal purposes for over 200 years.

Due to its beneficial effects on the skin, Aloe Ferox is also widely used in cosmetics. It relieves skin irritation, promotes skin regeneration, and has disinfectant properties, making it an effective treatment for minor injuries.

Why doesn't Aloe ferox juice require filtration like Aloe vera?

Aloe vera juice is often filtered or chemically neutralised by manufacturers to remove a substance called aloin (also known as barbaloin), which can have adverse effects on digestion.

Aloin is primarily found in the skin of the aloe leaf, and in Aloe vera, it enters the juice during the pressing process. However, the leaves of Aloe ferox are much firmer, with a hard outer skin that prevents aloin from being released during pressing. As a result, no filtration or chemical treatment is necessary.

This means that Aloe ferox juice contains a much higher concentration of nutrients compared to Aloe vera juice.
