Astaxanthin is often referred to as the "king of carotenoids". The freshwater microalga Haematococcus pluvialis contains the highest amount of it. When the algae is stressed, it secretes astaxanthin to protect it from environmental changes. This could be UV light, lack of nutrition or a change in temperature. Thanks to astaxanthin, the algae can survive even the harshest conditions.

BrainMax Astaxanthin is derived from the organically grown algae Haematococcus pluvialis. Each capsule contains 8 mg of astaxanthin in its purest form

Maximum product purity is ensured by organic manufacturing technology and subsequent heavy metal testing. The organic quality of astaxanthin guarantees up to 50 times higher bioavailability than its synthetic form.
