Bee pollen perga, also known as ambrosia or bee bread, is aproduct created by bees that serves as a basic ingredient in the food for their offspring. It is produced through a complex process that begins on the plant itself, where the industrious bee collects the pollen that is the basic raw material for bee bread. Pollen is a source of complex plant proteins, but also contains simple sugars, small amounts of fat, many vitamins, minerals and, most importantly, active enzymes.

What is the difference from pollen alone?

The pollen grain itself in its original state is very resistant and unusable by the body. But this changes the moment fermentation or fermentation occurs. It all takes place in a cocooned comb with a small amount of honey. It is therefore predominantly a mixture of two main substances in a ratio of approximately 25% honey and 75% pollen. The pollen grain is smothered in the comb by the bees, along with enzymes, probiotic bacteria and yeasts, which later help to break down the pollen grain. The swollen grains in the combs are sealed with honey and wax, forcing out all the air, and fermentation slowly begins due to the heat in the hive. Through this process, alchemical reactions literally occur, resulting in easily absorbed nutrients. Interestingly, pollen fermented in this way is stable for several years.

Thanks to this processing, the utilisation of the substances from bee bread is 4 times greater compared to unfermented bee pollen. There is also one additional advantage over unfermented pollen or honey, namely that in most cases it does not cause allergic reactions.

Bee bread is one of the oldest food supplements in the world, consumed by the ancient Egyptians and Chinese.

Where does it come from?

Our naturally harvested bee bread comes directly from hives located in the pure mountain nature of Rodop in Bulgaria. This unpolluted area guarantees a pure, high-potential composition. The bees are always only given the relevant quantity so that they have enough for their own nutrition. No chemical drugs are given to the bees.

Kidneys – that´s what matters in the winter

Winter is already in full flow! This is how we perceive it from our western perspective now. But some time ago, we would opt for different words expressing aptly the peace of this season. Night took over, nature is getting quiet and slow, countryside is peaceful and cold; and everything is covered in shades of white and black. It´s the perfect time to contemplate and relax both your mind and body. If you make use of the winter to recover your strengths, in the spring the energy will await you instead of spring fever and you´ll be ready for the more active part of the year.
